EB Ballot #24-22 – To approve an increase of maximum reimbursement amount to $2,000 per pre-selected national Tracklayer for national events (GSD Nationals and Working Dog Championship). Requests for reimbursement must be submitted within 60 days of the end of the national event and receipts supporting the requested amount will be submitted with the request.
Motion by Nathaniel Roque, DOJ and seconded by Michele Elmore, Secretary, to approve an increase of maximum reimbursement amount to $2,000 per pre-selected national Tracklayer for national events (GSD Nationals and Working Dog Championship). Requests for reimbursement must be submitted within 60 days of the end of the national event and receipts supporting the requested amount will be submitted with the request.
Background: Pre-Selected members of the Tracklayer Crew for the event are required to be at the events for four (4) full days (draw to end of event). The cost to travel to attend national events has increased over the years and the tracklayers ahiuld fairly be reimbursed for their expense to attend and work the event Their involvement and work for the events success is equal to what our preselected helpers contribute to the success of our championships.
The amount reimbursed has not increased appropriately over the years and should be adjusted to match the helpers level of reimbursement.
USCA asks a lot of our members to make our events the premier Working Dog Championships in the United States and we should financially support our Tracklayer Team that attends our national events.
All tracklayers for national events are selected by the Tracking Committee Chairperson and each will be required to submit receipts for all requested reimbursement amounts within 60 days of the end of the national event they attended as a pre-selected Tracklayer.
