Motion by Richard Shook, SE RD, and seconded by Josh Lininger, DAL, to approve a waiver for Samantha Gibbons and her dog, Imzedrift’s Trucker, from the regional participation requirement for the 2026 USCA National Championship
Background:
Trucker recently underwent unexpected abdominal surgery, and unfortunately, the final two Regional Championships available to us this year fall within his recovery period. This leaves us without another opportunity to fulfill the Regional requirement prior to Nationals without risking his health by returning him to competition too soon.
Samantha and Trucker finished 12th at the 2026 WDC with a score of 263, and they would very much like the opportunity to compete at Nationals once Trucker is fully recovered and medically cleared.
