EB Ballot #14-21 Terminate USCA Membership Jay Strickland for conduct prejudicial to the best interests of the association under Article XI, Section 5

Motion submitted by Michele Clubb, Secretary and seconded by Richard Shook, South Eastern RD,  to terminate USCA Membership for Jay Strickland for conduct prejudicial to the best interest of the association under Article XI, Section 5.

Background:
It was recently discovered that on July 26, 2016 Jay Strickland was convicted of Alabama Criminal Code Section 13A-6-63 (First Degree Sodomy, Class A Felony) . Mr. Strickland is also a registered Sex Offender in the state of Alabama.

Regional Director Richard Shook has attempted to make contact with Mr. Strickland to ask that he voluntarily relinquish his USCA membership and he has not returned Richard’s phone calls for the last week.

Per USCA Constitution and Bylaws Article XL Section 5 the Executive Board can terminate a membership by unanimous vote for “any other conduct prejudicial to the best interest of the Association.
