Breed Survey Rules

EB #17-15

Motion:  by Michele Scarberry, NBW, presented on behalf of the BAC, seconded by Nathaniel Roque, DOJ, requesting EB approval [additions 7.5.4; 7.5.4.1; 7.5.4.2] to the USCA Breed Survey Rules regarding survey extensions

Background:  by recommendation of USCA Breed Survey Master Karen MacIntyre, our Breed Survey rules are very vague and we must become more flexible with our interpretation for the USCA Breed Survey.  Our Breed rules state:  we set the requirements for our system’s breed surveys within USCA, and dogs surveyed under our breed survey system are accepted for all of our events and breeding requirements.  The committee has agreed that the Breed Survey Master/Koermeister should have the authority to grant extensions for whatever they deem legitimate.   This matter was discussed with our DOJ and we are in agreement, a USCA Breed Survey/Master Koermeister should have the authority to grant survey extensions as deemed necessary.

VOTE RESULT:   18 Yes (Jim Alloway, Frank Phillips, Sean O’Kane, Carolyn Daniel, Michele Scarberry, Nathaniel Roque, Mike Diehl, Dennis Vander Linde, Ron Fox, Jennifer Acevedo, Chris Thompson, Mark Hamilton, Scott Hedger, Pedro Jimenez, Gail Kendall, Dena McGowan, Craig Paulus, Mark Scarberry)
