EB Motion # 19-20

EB Board #19-20 – Approve County Line Hundesport in Ohio to start their 3 day trial before noon on Friday August 21 ending Sunday August 23

Motion by Nathaniel Roque,DOJ, and seconded by Mike Sweeney, RD, to approve County Line Hundesport in Ohio to start their 3 day trial before noon on Friday August 21 ending Sunday August 23.

Background:
Due to Covid -19 and no trials scheduled for most of the year. The trial hosted by County Line has had an unusually large request for entry and to accommodate over 70 phases and an AD over the Friday-Saturday-Sunday schedule they will need to be allowed to start early Friday morning.

Per approved USCA trial rules, trials cannot start before noon on Fridays. This rule is in place to allow spectators to be able to attend, as “trials are by nature a public event”.

In this case since there have not been many available trials to enter in the area the Regional Director Mike Sweeney on behalf of the club has requested this waiver.

I fully support this to allow more members access to enter the trial.  If approved the club will clearly inform the region on its event flier of the start time on Friday. The tentative schedule is BH Friday, AD Friday pm, IGP Saturday and Sunday
