EB Ballot # 37-18 – Approve Central Massachusetts Working Dog club to co-host the 2019 WDC
Motion by: Michele Clubb, Secretary on behalf of the National Events Committee, second by Don Yelle, New England RD, to approve Central Massachusetts Working Dog Club to co-host the 2019 Working Dog Championship, May 3rd to May 5th, 2019.
Background:
The National Events Committee received a bid from Central Massachusetts Working Dog Club to co-host the 2019 WDC. After discussions the committee feels that Central Massachusetts Working Dog Club will be able to host the event with no problem.
Central Massachusetts Working Dog Club – located in Spencer, Massachusetts (New England Region). While this club has not hosted a championship in the past they are being supported by Southern New Hampshire Working Dog Club and Inner City Working Dog Club to help them with the planning of WDC. Central Massachusetts WDC does have club members who have competed at the National level. They will also have support and guidance from National Events Committee. The club has secured Tantasqua Regional High School in Sturbridge, MA. The school has a nice football stadium with artificial turf. They also have access to 1400 acres of hay for tracking
