Congratulations USCA Judge Frank Phillips

A message from our DOJ Nathaniel Roque:

Congratulations USCA Judge Frank Phillips!!

Frank was recently honored to be selected to judge obedience in the 2019 Working Dutch Shepherd World Championship. Our first USCA Judge to be in a FCI Breed World Championship !

The USCA Judges College is proud to have judges like Frank in our program with world class knowledge, performance and discipline. He and other USCA Judges are a true representation of our judges program and the overall high quality of USCA.

Many of our judges have judged for most of the organizations in the United States and many other organizations throughout the world in club, national and WUSV world championships

Frank was highly complemented by the President of the organization Sami Hanna in the following email.

Email from WDSAA President Sami Hanna:

Mr. Roque,
I am writing to inform you about the behavior of Mr. Frank Phillips, while I hosted him to judge the 2019 World Dutch Shepherd Federation’s IGP World Championship, this past weekend , May 3-5, 2019.

His knowledge of the FCI rules was incredible. His ability to calm the nervous competitors was very helpful even while making it very clear what was acceptable and what was not, when they had questions.

Frank’s judging style allows for a strict trial procedure but jovial atmosphere, that lends toward more fun for the handlers that have enough stress on their plates when it comes to the World Championships they travel 1000s of miles to compete in.

Thank you so much for allowing him to make our trial the major success it ended up being.

One question before I close, Is Frank the first American to judge an FCI Championship? I wanted to be able to congratulate him first! Lol!

Thank you again,
Sami Hanna, WDSAA President
