EB #16-25
EB Motion #16-25 – To approve a waiver for Rachelle McKinley and her dog, Abraham vom Haus Lynch, from regional participation for the 2025 USCA National Championship.
Motion by Julia Grayson, SC RD, and seconded by Michele Elmore, Secretary, to approve a waiver for Rachelle McKinley and her dog Abraham vom Haus Lynch from Regional participation for the 2025 USCA National Championship
Background:
I would like to ask for a Regional entry waiver for USCA member Rachelle McKinley and her dog Abraham vom Haus Lynch, who was ill for months and, after thousands of dollars, was finally diagnosed late in 2024. Due to his prolonged illness, he had not regained sufficient strength to participate in our South Central Regional Championship in February 2025.
However, thankfully, by May 2025, she was able to enter him in the WDC and passed with a 252. She was mistakenly told that WDC counted for the Regional requirement; however, she was also told that she needed an 85 in protection to enter Nationals. Therefore, thinking that the WDC could partially waive the entry, she drove 8 hours to another event to achieve the 85 in protection, of which she was successful.
I believe Mrs. McKinley has demonstrated her dedication and desire to compete in the 2025 National Championship by getting the dog healthy and participating in a national championship (WDC), then driving across the country to achieve the 85 in protection. Additionally, she plans to retire this dog after the USCA 2025 Nationals.
