Approve Judges for the 2026 Working Dog Championship

EB #04-26

EB Motion #04-26 – Approve Judges for the 2026 Working Dog Championship

Motion by Nathaniel Roque, DOJ, on behalf of the USCA Judges Committee, seconded by Michele Elmore, Secretary, to approve Judges for the 2026 USCA Working Dog National Championship (WDC)

A – Trevor Elcock, USCA

B – Alberto Martinez Gonzalez – Real Ceppa, WUSV

C – Vadim Plotsker, USCA

Long Down – Barbara Molnar, USCA (Apprentice)

Background:

Based on the USCA Judge Program Requirements, the USCA Judges Committee has reviewed the applicants, determined which USCA judges are eligible to judge at the 2026 WDC, and considered the judges that the host club requested for the event.

The Judges Committee recommends this slate of judges for the 2026 WDC as qualified and able to provide an excellent and fair evaluation in each of the phases they are responsible for judging.

All selected judges have either judged at the Championship level in their selected phase or completed a birichter in that phase and judged other phases at a National Championship.

The USCA Judges Committee always seeks to provide the best-qualified judges for our championship events and, when possible, selects USCA Judges as our first choice. This slate of Judges includes two USCA Judges who are not only highly qualified to judge a championship event but have also actively judged over the past three years and attended the last Judges College. The Judges’ Committee of their choosing may also appoint a Head Judge to oversee the event on-site. The Head Judge for this event will be selected prior to the close of the entry date.

The Judges Committee may also appoint a Bi Richter in at least 1 phase of the event to continue to prepare a larger slate of USCA Judges for future Championship Events.  The USCA Judges Committee will make USCA Judges selections for “Bi Richter” in each phase based on eligible USCA Judges with the intent that they will be selected for future events.

(Per the Performance Judges’ Program (Section 16G), we will submit the Judges separately in 3 ballots.  Voting is confidential.)
