On May 30, 2022 the United Schutzhund Clubs of America lost one of its greatest supporters and a true ally of the German Shepherd Dog. Thomas J Huelsman, 75 of Crittenden, KY was the co-founder of the Greater Cincinnati Schutzhund Club in 1982. For over 40 years, Tom provided the training, support and venue to area law enforcement officers and dog sport enthusiasts alike by facilitating the import of well-bred dogs from Germany. His leadership at the GCSC was always in support of USCA wherein they hosted numerous seminars, trials, shows and regional championships. For those who had the opportunity to know and work with Tom and their GSD’s, almost all would describe him as very passionate about his love for the GSD and a “wonderful mentor!” To his wife Judy and their entire family, we express our sincere condolences and thank them for sharing Tom with us. He will be truly missed. RIP our friend.
