Andrea’s grades are impressive; her extracurricular activities include competitive gymnastics, tennis, swimming and dog training, which keep her very busy.
She has achieved numerous awards and recognition in athletics. Andrea’s community service was volunteering at a veterinary clinic and SPCA wildlife center. She has been accepted at the University of California, Santa Barbara and will major in pre-med.
Andrea reflects in her essay that Schutzhund training presents an opportunity to teach and to learn that common language between dogs and humans, through this unique language, a special bond is forged, and an unforgettable journey begins.
Together, Andrea and Henk worked through tough times as well as good times, they were presented challenges and opportunities, and created an incomparable team. Andrea displays superb sportsmanship, and is an ideal representative of our youth program
Dominic is a four-year varsity athlete, All American wrestler, and a four-year honors Latin major.
Dominic reflected in his essay, “If you become content with the best you have done, you will never be the best you can be.” He applies the same principles to Schutzhund training, as he does with life. Setting goals, self-discipline, perseverance, and preparation.
In addition to his credentials as a dog trainer, competitor, and helper, he has made an impression with his passion for those things that he has prioritized family, faith, vocation, and sport.
